Our specialist Dr. Marshall has pursued advanced training and attained the highest qualifications in paediatric dentistry. She is passionate about giving children healthy and confident smiles that last a lifetime.

About Dr. Martesia Marshall

Dr. Marshall is a paediatric dentist whose experience and educational accomplishments have exemplified her commitment to improving oral health outcomes for children.

Her journey started in Washington DC where she earned her DDS degree from Howard University College of Dentistry in 2012. She then completed a General Practice Residency at the University of Buffalo’s Erie County Medical Centre. After two years of private practice in a paediatric clinic in Gary, Indiana, she moved to Rancho Mirage, California and successfully completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry certificate. In this program, she focused on children and adults with Special Needs. Most recently, she completed her paediatric residency at her alma mater Howard University, where she served as Chief Resident until 2019.

Dr. Marshall comes to Thunder Bay from the United States, having successfully challenged the National Dental Specialty Exam (NDSE) and the American Board of Paediatrics written exam. She is excited to make her new home in Thunder Bay where she resides with her partner Derval and their son, Tyler. She looks forward to using her knowledge and experience to bring healthier smiles to children in Northwestern Ontario.
